Little Hands Family Events
Every year, Little Hands hosts events for our heroes and Little Hands families. Some of the events include: The Annual Fall event at Allsop's Farm Pumpkin and More, Little Hands Night at the Windsor Express game, Little Hands private movie screening for families, Little Hands Golf for a Cause, Domino's Pizza-making fun, Annual Little Hands North Pole, Visit with Santa, and Annual Christmas Toy Drive. Annual Fall Event at Allsop’s Farm Pumpkin and More:
The Annual Fall Event at Allsop’s Farm Pumpkin and More is an event held by Little Hands every October which allows for heroes and their families to have a fun day at the pumpkin patch. Families are free to do whatever they want around the farm. Food & drinks are provided, and everyone is allowed to pick out a pumpkin free of charge. It is just a fun, stress free evening for families to enjoy.
Little Hands Night at the Windsor Express Game:
The Little Hands Night at the Windsor Express Game is an event that has happened a handful of times which allowed for heroes and their families to attend a Windsor Express Basketball game. The families were able to go on the court and high-five the players. For each event that Little Hands has held at a game, the theme was ”Superhero Night” and the children were treated like the superheroes that they are.
Little Hands private movie screening for families:
The Little Hands private movie screening for families at Lakeshore Cinemas is an event held by Little Hands which allows for heroes and their families to go see a movie in a safe and less chaotic environment. Admission, popcorn, drinks and snacks are provided for the families to allow for them to have an enjoyable, stress-free visit to the movies. Little Hands Golf for a Cause:
Little hands golf for a cause was an event held at the Talbot Trail golf course in Wheatley. A group of dedicated community members from Wheatley and the Little Hands team collaborated to organize two very successful golf tournaments to raise money for our cause. Many heroes and their families golfed in the tournament which made it even more special. Below are pictures from both the 2018 and 2019 events:
Domino's Pizza-making fun:
Domino's Pizza-making fun was an event was a joint effort fundraiser between Little Hands and Domino's. Domino's let a select number of Heroes and their families come in and make their own pizzas in the kitchen. It was just a day to raise money and let the children have fun.
The Annual Little Hands North Pole:
The Annual Little Hands North Pole event is held the 2nd weekend of December at the Harrow Legion. This private event is an opportunity for families to be provided with gifts, stocking stuffers and everything else necessary for a happy Christmas. Each year we have provided Christmas magic to approximately 30 Little Hands families who otherwise would have had a difficult time providing Christmas sparkle for their children. This event kept going throughout the COVID-19 pandemic to allow for families to have a happy Christmas.
Little Hands visit with Santa:
The Little Hands visit with Santa event which happens the day after the annual North Pole event. This visit allows for heroes and their families to be able to see Santa, get a gift, and have snacks that are provided by Little Hands. This event allows for children who may not normally to have the chance to visit, be able to see Santa. Santa also will make videos and send them to children who are unable to visit.
Annual Christmas Toy Drive:
The Little Hands Annual Christmas Toy Drive is an event held by Little Hands which collects and donates hundreds of thousands of toys and donates them to pediatric units and Ronald McDonald houses in both Windsor and London. Toys are also donated to local therapy centers and support groups who help our heroes and other children like JMCC, Childcan and regional children center. The toys are also used for our annual North Pole. Similarly to the North Pole, this event also kept going throughout the COVID-19 pandemic.
